Pegasus World Cup
Moving on down our list we have Pegasus World Cup. Pegasus World Cup began on the 22nd of January 2022 and the date of closing is yet to be determined. This event is hosted at Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach Florida post-op
This is a fairly new event that only began in 2017 but has run annually since then. It is open to horses that are four years and older, unlike other events that were just strictly reserved for horses that are three years old.
Melbourne Cup
Making our way down under we find ourselves in Australia at the Melbourne Cup or the Melbourne Cup carnival. As its name suggests this event takes place in Melbourne at the Flemington racecourse. It is by far one of the biggest events in horse racing in all of Australia and also one of the biggest horse racing events in the calendar year as it closes out the year’s four major horse racing events. It typically runs from the last week of October to the first week of November and the dates vary a little bit from year to year
as the biggest race of the country, it is considered to be a very important event and something that brings over 100,000 spectators throughout. This year the event will start on the 1st of November.
Kentucky Derby
Last but not least the final horse racing event that we have on our list of the biggest horse racing events to watch in 2022 is the Kentucky Derby. This is one of the most prestigious horse racing events held within the USA in Kentucky in particular, and it is an annual event.
